THE BEST IN ME (The Story of Savannah Evers).
The best in me is a fictional story about a shy little girl named Savannah. Her story teaches us
how we can defeat obstacles and achieve our goals through determination. Savannah was born
in a town which bears her name, (in the state of Georgia). She was shy, but very bright little girl
with freckles on her cheeks; she also speaks with minor impairment.
………. Later, that day; when Savannah arrived home from school; her older sister named Angie
was at home. (Angie was a sophomore at a local college; she speaks with slight British accent
(and vocabulary) because she spent nine months with their grandmother in Little-Hampton
England, while she was an exchange student.) Angie observes that Savannah was not happy;
then she asked; “Savvy! What’s the matter?” And then,
Savannah replied by saying “nothing Angie, I am OK.” No, Angie responded, I have never seen
you this sad before, you are always very jolly, would you please tell your big sister what’s the
matter? Ok. But before I can tell you ………
She was very active in school activities but always treated with scorn and ridicule by some other
students whenever she spoke. But despite those silly acts towards her (by bullies), she was
determined to overcome her disabilities with positive characters towards life.
Because she was very smart, she was always bullied. Her character later became an inspiration
for children of her age all over the world on how each one of us can overcome any obstacle
with positive attitude. Later in life, she became a mayor of a prominent city, later appointed to
ambassadorship, world recognition through United Nation……….
(Suitable for age 9-15, You’ll find the storyline very much enjoyable).
